How do the tools you use help you develop in a way that you want? I work mostly with athletes that hit, shoot or throw something at something else.
A combination of high power and higher precision is most valued.
To do this you need to be able to move in more ways than just squatting, lunging, pulling, pushing.
To have tools that allow me to have feedback and test how my structure loads and unloads force is important for consistent precision over long periods.
1. Do I enjoy the tools I use?
2. Do they help me in ways that I need or want?

The most valuable thing I’ve unlearned is...
Questioning, am I doing it right?
I’ve had many world-class coaches over the years that taught from a top down approach. “I know better than you” this robed me from being more independent, creative problem solver. Instead of asking questions...What feels like the best way to solve this? What way excites you? When you do this what happens? Can we try another way?
This all changed when I spent an entire year overseas touring the world playing pro golf (different city different week) without a coach. I had to figure out things for myself, what worked what didn’t. How to take care of my body without a gym/trainer a physio. noticing what worked under stress and what didn’t. I did travel with my brother @b__parr probably one of the best coaches I’ve had because he would ask me the questions. I learned that I could lean on myself when things got tough. So if you’re a coach or a trainer. Don’t just tell people what to do or if their doing it correctly. Ask your students better questions or guide them to figure it out for themselves. They may not need you as much or at all. And I know that doesn’t feel good to be not needed. But it’s for their best development. Plus you’ll learn a lot more of what actually works for different people.
I value teachers that are more collaborators in my own discovery even though they know more in certain contexts.
I value as a coach being a collaborator in your own discovery, instead of telling you whether you’re right or wrong.

If we want to be adaptable we need places and people who allow us to try and fail. It’s how we develop fastest. We became specialized because as a culture we valued efficiency. But what happens when efficient systems shatter? Which is what is happening now.
We can continue to learn and grow younger as we grow older if we have places to try and mess up.

I exist when I jump and also when I fall.
I DON’T DO FITNESS. I value using the least energy and strain to get the most power.
I value being multidimensional, and look to the street rats of breakdancing, parkour, gymnastics, athletics, dancing as inspiration.
How can the body can move dynamically?

Overnight everything has changed.
We have seen that technology right now cannot keep up with biology.
Now more than ever we must go back to basics. Observe our own biology.
How do we develop resiliency among chaos?
How do we navigate a world we don’t understand?
The map is changing.
You do have a body and it’s resilient to deal with these changes.
